She has been involved in various youth programs, groups and clubs since the age of 5, and began her broadcasting career on radio and television at the age of 12. She has held leadership roles in The Gambia since her youth, including Public Relations Officer for her school’s debate and drama clubs, and involvement in Voice of the Young Child Protective Alliance.
